
About the Role
An Improvement Advisor - Clinical Quality Management is responsible for leading initiatives that enhance quality, safety, and service outcomes within a healthcare organization. This role focuses on optimizing healthcare processes through the use of improvement methodologies and data analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead quality improvement initiatives: Design and implement projects aimed at improving clinical and process outcomes.
Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with leaders, clinicians, front-line staff, and patients to develop and execute improvement plans.
Provide education and training: Coach and mentor staff on performance improvement methods, data collection, and analysis techniques.
Utilize project management tools: Define and manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables, while resolving risks and barriers.
Analyze data: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify improvement opportunities and present findings to senior leaders.
Facilitate change management: Apply change management principles to promote stakeholder engagement and successful implementation of improvements.
Support strategic goals: Translate organizational strategic goals into actionable plans and monitor progress.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field; a Master's degree is often preferred.
Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of experience in healthcare quality management or a related field.
Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), may be required.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, project management experience, and excellent communication abilities.
Interpersonal skills: Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
