
About the Role
A Staff Dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to patients, diagnosing and treating dental conditions, and promoting oral health. They work as part of a dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct dental exams: Perform routine dental check-ups and evaluate patients' oral health.
Diagnose and treat dental conditions: Identify and treat issues such as cavities, gum disease, and tooth decay.
Perform dental procedures: Carry out procedures like fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns.
Provide preventative care: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and provide preventative treatments like fluoride applications and sealants.
Develop treatment plans: Create personalized treatment plans based on patients' dental needs.
Maintain patient records: Keep accurate and detailed records of patient visits and treatments.
Collaborate with dental team: Work closely with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff to provide comprehensive care.
Stay updated: Keep up with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques.
Requirements
Education: Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school.
Licensure: Current dental license to practice in the relevant state or country.
Experience: Previous experience as a dentist is preferred.
Skills: Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent patient care abilities.
Interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients and work collaboratively with the dental team.
